Withholding Tax on Turnover tax imposes by Western Province

With effect from 8th March, 2010 under the Extra Ordinary Gazette notification number 1650/31 dated on 23rd April. 2010 ceratin provisions have been brought to the Financial Statute of the Western Province No. 6 of 1990 and Statute amended by no. 2 of 2006 to pay Turnover tax on monthly basis and withholding of Turnover tax by certain Importers, Producers and Sellers. Section 11 of the said Statute has been repeal and introduced new section 11. Goods subject to turnover tax define as any goods, thing, agricultural or horticultural products
